Well, I am certainly not going to say that Bone Sickness is a good movie ... among other things, it contains way too much extraneous gore, much of which is not particularly convincing.

This was also the first LARP I ran. I set the mood with red and ultraviolet light, a skull and bones candaeladrum, and latenrs. I also had period music. Most people came in costume and we had plenty of props for everything but the nightsticks, which…

LARP 9 "The Osirus Club"

things changed around out house, we moved to another place in a far away town. Once we got settled in I was looking to run a LARP in the new back yard. The problem I had was how to use the space. I'd had plenty of practice on the old place. I decided to not push my luck with a self written adventure and instead run "The Osirus Club" from the Cthulhu Live book : Shades of Grey.

I had wanted to run it before however, the script calls for several "smaller" scenes. I liked the idea of them but coul… Continue

With my deadline fast approaching I decided to go back to the pre-made adventures. Since I’d had luck with a Will Thrasher design once. I figured I do it again. This time I decided on The Tomb of Nephren-Ka. I decided this time not to set it on a zeppelin.

Since the… Continue

"Telegram for Mr. Cthulhu!!!" LARP: 7 Personal Demons

LARP 7 Personal Demons

I wanted something big for LARP 7 so I decide on at least 5 big puzzles, 4 groups of characters competing. Several plot lines and just to make things really hard, three sets and a set change in the middle of the run.

For the puzzles I did a lot of matching puzzles. Also I printed off a wall of hieroglyphist for the characters to translate. The groups were two competing archeological groups an ancient godling and 2 demons sent to find the godling and take him back to hell… Continue
